How can I get in contact with my loved one?
To contact a client in residential, please call the client line and leave a voicemail @ (952) 466-1792.
What insurance or funding does ANEW accept?
ANEW accepts most major insurance providers along with state (Medicaid) insurance. The most common policies we are not in network with are Medica, United Health Care, and Medicare. We work with individuals who do not have insurance to obtain coverage. If you have questions, please give us a call to inquire at 952-466-1805.
What if I don’t have health insurance?
Our team can assist you in obtaining funding from the county you are from, and ANEW staff can help you apply for MNSure once you arrive.
What if I have special dietary needs?
We ask that you inform staff upon admission of any dietary needs/restrictions so that we can do our best to accommodate.
Are meals provided?
Yes. You will receive three meals a day plus snacks. You are permitted to bring in your own non-perishable snacks/drinks to keep in your small locker (also provided).
Are my children able to visit?
Yes! ANEW strongly encourages all mothers to arrange visitation with their children if possible. Regular visitation hours are Wednesdays 5:30p-7:30p and Sunday 1p-3p. Court-ordered visitation can occur outside of these hours as well.
Can I have visits with family and friends?
Yes, open visitation is weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30p-7:30p and Sundays from 1p-3p. However, all visitors must be on your approved visitation list and clients are not eligible for visitation until after their first full week of treatment.
Can I smoke at ANEW?
Yes, you may smoke cigarettes while in treatment at ANEW in our designated area. Vaping or e-cigs are not permitted.
Does ANEW allow caffeine?
Yes, you may drink coffee or caffeinated (pop and tea) beverages. Energy drinks are not permitted.
Can I bring in my electronics? (T.V.’s laptops, tablets, apple watches)
We do not permit the use of electronic devices.
How long will I be in treatment?
ANEW is not a locked facility. You are free to end your treatment stay at any time. However, our treatment program consists of both High Intensity and Medium Intensity. If you are not coming from another facility you will likely begin at High intensity and then step down to medium. Although your length of stay is dependent on other variables such as progress, aftercare plans, funding and risk for further use.
The typical length of stay at ANEW is anywhere from 75-90 days.
Will I be able to have outside passes?
Clients are able to obtain outside passes while completing medium intensity treatment, at their counselors discretion. If you have completed high intensity treatment at a different program, you will be eligible for passes after one week at ANEW.
What is the criteria or process for admission?
If you completed an assessment and you are interested in attending ANEW, you can have it faxed to admission fax 651-413-2283. Once reviewed, the admission staff will reach out to you directly to complete a phone screen. If you haven't had an assessment, that’s okay! You can call 952-466-1805 and we'll connect you with the right person. We will ask about your use history, if you are at risk of withdrawal, any physical health concerns, medications you are taking, mental health diagnoses, if you are at risk for continued use, and what your living environment looks like. We will also take this time to share more about the program and answer any questions you may have.
Do I get my own room?
Depending on how many clients we have at any given time, you may or may not have your own room. However, our residential rooms are spacious and each client is supplied with a bed, night stand, desk and closet of their own.
Can I have my cell phone?
At ANEW residential treatment program we use a system called RIPLE (Rewards In A Positive Living Environment). As long as clients meet their daily responsibilities they may earn access to their cell phone each day after their first full week of treatment. Length of time varies between high and medium intensity.
Am I able to practice my spiritual practices?
Yes. We highly encourage you to engage in your spiritual practices.
What if I need something that I don’t have?
Clients are able to go to the store with staff while they are on High intensity. You may also have scheduled drop-offs approved by your counselor.
Will you help me find housing for after treatment?
If you are in our residential program, then you would have first priority to get into our sober housing as long as we have a space available for you. Your counselor can also assist you in finding alternative housing options.
What if I have some appointments coming up?
We ask that you reschedule your appointments until after the first week of being here and getting settled in. Staff will take you to most appointments while on High intensity otherwise they can help navigate setting up medical rides.
Is ANEW a Co-Occurring Disorders Program?
Yes, ANEW is a licensed residential treatment program that provides services addressing both chemical health and mental health concerns.
Can I come to ANEW if I am currently utilizing Medication Assisted Therapy?
Yes, ANEW does allow clients to utilize Methadone, Suboxone, Subutex, Sublocaid if prescribed.
I'm not on medication assisted therapy yet but I think I want to be. Will ANEW help me get set up with this?
Yes, ANEW partners with Affirmation Health to assist with this.
